How to create custom activities

Custom activities let you track anything Potty Whiz doesn't include, such as wearing underwear all day or a nighttime pull-up. Creating custom activities needs Premium. Turning activities on or off and changing their order is free.

Create a custom activity

  1. On the dashboard, tap your child's card.
  2. Open the Settings tab.
  3. Choose Potty or Habits, depending on where you want the activity to appear.
  4. Tap Add New Activity.
  5. Enter an Activity Name.
  6. Tap the round icon to choose an emoji.
  7. Check Celebrate if you want a celebration animation each time it's logged.
  8. Tap Save.

The new activity is switched on and added to the end of the list.

Which children see it

A custom activity belongs to your account, so it shows for every child in that account. If a child doesn't need it, switch it off on that child's Settings tab.

Log a custom activity

Log it like any other activity: tap Activity, choose Potty or Habits, and tap it. Custom activities have no extra questions, but you can add a Comment, other children, photos and videos. See How to log a potty visit or accident.

Edit or delete a custom activity

  1. On the child's Settings tab, tap the pencil next to the custom activity.
  2. Change the name, the icon or Celebrate, then tap Save.

To delete it, tap Delete in the same screen, then tap Yes. The warning reads, for example, "Delete Underwear? This will remove associated activities and reminders." Deleting removes every entry and reminder for that activity, for all children in the account. If you only want to stop using it, switch it off instead.

Turn activities on or off and reorder them

These work for built-in and custom activities, and they're free.

  • Use the switch next to an activity to show or hide it when you log for this child. Entries you already logged are kept.
  • To change the order, press and hold an activity, then drag it up or down. The logging list follows this order.

Troubleshooting

  • The upgrade screen opens when I tap Add New Activity: custom activities are part of Premium. See What's free and what's premium in Potty Whiz.
  • "Activity Name is required": enter a name before you tap Save.
  • My custom activity is missing for one child: open that child's Settings tab and switch it on.
