How to add widgets to your home screen

The Training Log widget lets you log an activity for your child straight from your home screen, without opening the app. Widgets need Premium. Without Premium, you see "This is a premium feature." instead of your child.

What the widget shows

  • Your child's name.
  • Your child's first few activities, with how long ago each was last logged. These are the first activities on your child's Settings tab: 3 on iPhone and up to 4 on Android.
  • A plus button next to each activity. Tap it to log that activity right now; your phone vibrates to confirm.

To change which activities appear, open your child, tap the Settings tab, and drag your favorite activities to the top.

Add the widget on iPhone

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen until the apps jiggle.
  2. Tap the + button (or Edit, then Add Widget) at the top.
  3. Search for "Potty Whiz".
  4. Choose Training Log and tap Add Widget.
  5. To choose a child, touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, and pick a child under Child.

Until you choose a child, the widget shows "Long press and tap edit to select a child."

Add the widget on Android

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen.
  2. Tap Widgets.
  3. Search for "Potty Whiz".
  4. Drag the Training Log widget to your home screen.
  5. On "Select a child to display in this widget", tap your child, then tap Save.

To show a different child later, touch and hold the widget and choose the option to reconfigure it. Tap the widget itself to open Potty Whiz.

Troubleshooting

  • The widget says "This is a premium feature.": upgrade from Unlock More Features! in the side menu, then open Potty Whiz once so the widget picks it up.
  • "No child found. Add a child.": add a child in Potty Whiz first.
  • The wrong activities show: reorder them on the child's Settings tab, then open Potty Whiz once so the widget updates.
